What did Jesus do?

Wesley Mission's Keith Suter writes:

We are now celebrating the birth of a child born in an obscure village in an obscure province at the eastern edge of the Roman Empire about 2000 years ago. He would never travel more than about 60 miles from his place of birth; receive no formal education; he would not write a book; and probably not own more than the clothes he was wearing. But the child would go on to change history more profoundly than any other human being who has ever lived. It is therefore a tragedy that recent surveys have shown that many people remain ill-informed about him.
