People like to blame governments for all our ills, but we can all do a little more to improve the lives of others. At heart, we're a fantastically tolerant and generous society, and on Australia Day we should give thanks for that. This Australia Day let's pledge ourselves to be better neighbours. Let's remember the less fortunate and the lonely, and perform, if we can, some act of kindness, however small. It is too late now to help Jorge Chambe, but his death need not be in vain, writes NSW Premier Morris Iemma.
