THERE aren't many people in Hollywood who can pick up the phone and expect the heads of the six big film studios to take his call, but Ted Baehr is one. A conservative Episcopalian linked to the religious right, the founder of Movieguide.org is an influential behind-the-scenes figure, widely credited with helping persuade Hollywood studios to make more family values-friendly films. Dr Baehr, in Australia for a family wedding, spoke to Christian media and filmmakers in Sydney and Melbourne at the weekend. "Who controls the media controls the culture," he said.
